TLC's definition of East Harlem

Hello everyone,

I'm new here, but was outraged upon reading the brief article about the TLC's new map, which reduces EH to a tiny area. When you misinform the general public, stereotypes and ignorance are reinforced. This is the letter I wrote to the TLC to voice my opinion. Feel free to use it/modify it in writing your own letters:

Dear Commissioner,
As someone who lives and works in East Harlem, I am writing to express my disapproval of your incorrect map boundaries of East Harlem. The true boundaries are from 96th Street to 125th Street, from Fifth Avenue to the East River. You do a disservice to our community and to the general public by painting our area as a small, insignificant piece of the city. I urge you to correct this error.

Respectfully,
Katherine Gorell

Katherine,
A million thanks for writing to the TLC. A few more letters like that, and who knows? Maybe they will re-do the map.
