Given recent references to East Harlem as Upper Yorkville (and the reactions of East Harlem residents to this term), I was interested to note the title of a 1947 photograph iincluded in the Winter Programs 2004 calendar of the International Center of Photography: "The Game of Lynching. Yorkville, East Harlem," by Vivian Cherry.
