Movie "East Of Harlem"

I read on the Internet where a movie was being made in New York City by Irish Director Jim Sheridan and the name of the film is "East of Harlem". Does anyone one know where they will be shooting scenes for this film.?Actress Kate Winslet was supposed to be the leading actress but has recently pulled out of the film.

I have not heard of this movie. Though I am curious about it's theme/plot not that you have mentioned it. I just hope it does justice to our community.

For anybody who was wondering, the Movie "East of Harlem" did come out. It was actually nominated for 3 Oscars, and won MANY other prestigious awards. Unfortunately, it was "East of Harlem" only in name/working title.

I am sure many of you heard/saw the movie "In America (http://http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0298845/)" that came out in 2002..... :cool:
